Electrical / Mechanical Field Engineer
Undertaking the inspection, service, maintenance and installation of bulk material handling equipment. The successful applicant must be a time served apprentice and be both electrical and mechanically trained. The position will be based in the Gloucestershire area but will involve extensive travel in the UK, extending to overseas as required.
Activities and Duties:
Reporting into the Service Manager you will act as Site Supervisor as and when required and will be fully conversant with regulations and responsibilities under current Health & Safety Legislation.
- Carry out inspection of equipment.
- Complete detailed report on findings.
- Carry out the fitting of spares and/or service inspection visits in accordance with the Redler Work Procedures.
- Execute duties in compliance with the Redler Work Procedures for Service Engineers.
- Contact Redler Customer Service on a daily basis or as agreed; and report daily to the Service Controller.
- Ensure contact to you is possible at all times via the mobile phone network.
- Maintain a good standard of dress and appearance at all times.
- Be responsible for keeping your vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
- Execute sales visits to customers when called upon, as detailed in Redler Work Procedures.
- Carry out investigations and trouble-shooting as requested by the Service Manager and Operations Director, providing them with a written report of your findings.
- Complete paperwork in accordance with the Redler Operating System.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Carry out installation work (where applicable) of Redler projects.
- Carry out test and commissioning of project equipment.
