The Cement Industry

Redler has extensive experience in the Cement Industry Worldwide offering conveying systems at various stages of the process.

Redler offer a complete design, manufacturing and erection service world-wide for conveyors, elevators, silos and other ancillary equipment, including control equipment.

Allied with this is the well proven application of Schenck Process weighing feeding and screening equipment for primary and strategic control of materials.

In addition Redler supplies extensive support in maintenance and Chartered Engineering design solutions.

Key Process Areas

Process diagramThe illustration opposite is very simplistic but serves to indicate the wide ranging activities taking place in a Cement Works.

Our capability extends from Raw Material Reception (from all modes of transport), and couples stockpile or bunker movement and beyond into the processing operation, utilising our range of:

  • Chain Conveyors
  • Belt Conveyors and Reception Units
  • Chain & Bucket Elevators/li>
  • Belt & Bucket Elevators

Milling and Kilning operations generate dust, often in large volumes REDLER Conveyors and Elevators are dust-tight and therefore widely used to collect dust from Precipitator and Filter Units, helping the end-user to more readily comply with today's environmental requirements.

On the Fuel side, the Coal and Petroleum Coke use have similar handling needs. In addition to these needs Redler also supply specialist Coal Feeders to provide the accurate material flow from Raw Coal Bins to the Mills.

These can be Volumetric, Gravimetric and Pressure-Tight if appropriate.

Often supplementary waste materials are used as contributory fuels and REDLER Conveyors and Elevators are widely used for handling such materials as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), Wood Chips, Saw Dust, Waste Residues etc.

Cement Clinker Conveyors

The specialised features of the REDLER Clinker Conveyor have evolved from a combination of our experience in materials handling and the practical operating experiences of major cement producers.

The resulting Conveyors are extremely robust and reliable with minimal maintenance requirements, low operating costs and flexible discharge arrangement

REDLER Conveyors are manufactured in a number of different width sizes, generally ranging from 250mm-1000mm, with capacities up to 700 tonnes per hour and accommodating material temperatures as high as 4500C. Conveying lengths of up to 100m are possible, depending on capacity.

Typical Features

Side panel liners are fitted internally to the depth of the conveyed material from either removable cast wear plates, steel plates or basalt tiles.
