UK Malting Plant to use Redler Conveyors and Elevators
One of the UK's top Maltsters, Muntons have selected Redler to undertake a new conveying and elevating installation for them at their site in Stowmarket.
The new malt stripping route system involved a series of Redler en masse chain conveyors and a high belt & bucket elevator all manufactured from stainless steel to transport malt in culm from the kiln across to the storage silos.
As a complete package, Redler also undertook the site survey, engineering design, contract management and with the detail design work complete were able to additionally supply the equipment with all the necessary chutework, supports and steelwork / platforms for the conveyors and elevator.
The Redler site installation team then removed the existing machinery and installed the new equipment within a planned shutdown period at the Maltings.
The project was completed on time and handed over successfully to a very proud and pleased customer who now has a new stainless steel finish, handling system for the stripping route which in itself shows the commitment of the Maltster, Muntons towards the Food Industry and its future as a key player.
Redler Bulk Materials Handling Director Andrew Workman commented that this was a massive team effort from both Redler and the customer to undertake this project in just over 9 weeks to suit the site shutdown requirements. It is extremely pleasing to see the project now implemented / installed and operating at the Maltings in Stowmarket.
