Slide Gates and Valves
The Redler range of standard slide gates are of a pressed mild steel construction covering a size range shown on the dimensional chart. Square or rectangular openings can be catered for to any dimensions within these limits. Three types of standard slide gate are available:-
- Light Duty (L): Fabricated from 3 mm pressings with 6 mm slide plate
- General Duty (G):Fabricated from 5mm pressings with 8 mm slide plate
- Bunker Duty (B): Fabricated from rolled steel sections with 15 mm slide plate
The slide plate for light and general duty units runs on nylon rollers; nylon tufted brush strips held in contact with the slide plate by resilient sponge cord seal the slide plate.
Bunker type slides for use under silos incorporate steel guides for the slide plate. Various modes of actuation are available including:
- Hand Operated
- Screw Operated
- Rack and Pinion Operated
- Electropneumatically Operated
- Electrical Activator Operated
All types of slide can be supplied fitted with microswitches for slide plate open/closed indication and will have all internal wiring and piping supplied complete.
Flush fitting slides can be supplied for MoveMaster conveyors where required: e.g. certain food industry applications.
When slide gates are for use with MoveMaster conveying plant, the units can be positioned across or along the casing.

Rack and Pinion Slide GateOf totally enclosed design, this type employs a rack pinion actuating mechanism operated by:
Motorised units are particularly suitable for applications where an air supply is not available. |

Electropneumatic Slide GatesThe ideal choice for applications requiring automation. The air supply is controlled by a solenoid operated spring reset valve with R1/4" BSP ports for G and B units and R1/8" BSP for L units. All valves have manual override controls and interchangeable coils are available for voltages in the ranges 24 and 50 Volts DC and 24-440 Volts AC. Adjustable throttle valves mounted on the exhaust ports of the solenoid valve control the opening and closing speeds of the slide plate.
These slides may not be suitable for use beneath large silos. Please consult Stock Redler Limited for recommendations. |
