MULTICOR ® S
CONTINUOUS MASS FLOW METER
A mass flow-rate monitoring or controlled feeding device according to the Coriolis principle.
MULTICOR S mass flow-rate feeding devices are used wherever large amounts of bulk solids need to be continuously established, controlled and fed. They provide precise feeding according to the Coriolis principle, a unique measuring principle for bulk solids based on direct, fast measured value acquisition.
Function
The MULTICOR Mass Flow Meter uses Coriolis force measurement principle to determine the mass flow. Within the device, the material flow to be measured changes direction as it enters a circular measuring wheel, rotating at constant speed of 300 to 500 rpm depending on machine size/throughput. Material is accelerated to the measuring wheel circumferential speed by the guide vanes. This acceleration produces a torque directly corresponding to the flow rate, torque is measured by a load cell based measuring module and converted into an electrical signal without amplification. The measurement is independent of mechanical material properties, e.g. grain size, flow behaviour, moisture and temperature. The material friction on the measur-ing wheel and flow speed variations in the measuring system do not affect the measuring signal.
Multicor is an extremely precise continuous weigher requiring minimal height enabling it to be used for both new and remodeled process plant installations. Multicor as a process weigher is typically employed as flow monitoring device within the process itself and also as an efficient and economical means of out loading finished product into trucks and tankers.

MULTICOR AS A CONTROLLED FEED SYSTEM
When Multicor is combined with a variable speed feed device such as a rotary valve or screw feeder then a highly accurate continuous high capacity process feed system is created.
